About FAN

Since 2005, FAN has changed the lives of more than 1,000 teens in foster care and those impacted by the child welfare system by providing an after-school and summer-time "home base." Our youth-led, peer-operated center serves as a critical resource, offering mentorship, leadership development, and a sense of belonging to young people who need it most.

FAN breaks cycles and reshapes community narratives by fostering safe, nurturing spaces where youth can feel secure within themselves, with their peers, and in their communities. Our programs empower young people by nurturing their interests and talents, providing opportunities to develop new skills, and building a strong support network to guide them toward bright futures.
